Popcorn Bad…….

Filed under: Other - Administrator @ 5:40 pm

Chowing down on a medium popcorn and soda is the calorie equivalent to three McDonald’s quarter-pounders and 12 — yes 12 — pats of butter. And it gets worse: About 90% of this 1,600 calorie bomb comes from fat. The blame lies with the coconut oil used to pop the corn that really packs on the pounds. So their salty snack comes in slightly better at under 1,000 calories for a medium popcorn.  Not exactly diet food. The critics may whine, but the people have spoken: Feedbags with extra butter and salt, please.

I found this report online and thought it interesting.  Yet, why would anyone want to go to the movies, if they couldn’t enjoy hot buttered popcorn and a coke?

Good Cucumbers

Filed under: Vegetables, Fruits, Other - Administrator @ 5:34 pm
Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber.  Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache?  Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!
Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.
